Welcome to the Whistleblower Resource Page
Companies are required to comply with enhanced whistleblower protection laws that came into effect on 1 July 2019, with breaches of obligations carrying substantial penalties, the greatest being up to $1,050,000 for individuals and up to $10.5 million (or 10 per cent of annual turnover) for corporations.
On this page, you’ll find resources to help your organisation understand and comply with the new whistleblower protection laws.
These resources include:
- Blog Articles
- Webinar Recordings
We will be updating this resource page as more content is created.
These articles outline the new whistleblower protections and describe the increases to the penalties in the Corporations Act, including penalties for contravening the whistleblower protections. Due to the high number of queries & interest we received from clients on the new laws, Katharine Wilkinson, Head of Corporate & Financial Services, presented two webinars:

- New Whistleblowing Laws: What you need to do
to discuss the new whistleblower protections and the implications for Australian companies and their compliance.
